Cos’è la street photography?

Sicuramente si tratta di uno di quegli ambiti nei quali una risposta univoca semplicemente non esiste. La fotografia di strada è un mondo talmente vasto in cui possiamo osservare una quantità di correnti, di direzioni, di possibilità espressive, che qualsiasi tentativo di definizione è inevitabilmente destinato a fallire.

Possiamo infatti osservare tutto ed il contrario di tutto, l'unica possibilità di una definizione che sia abbastanza intelligente e coerente con questa enorme diversità, e cercare di costruirla con confini fluidi e non molto definiti. Il che è complicato. Perché di norma le definizioni sono rigide, poco elastiche e limitate.

Certainly, this is undoubtedly one of those areas where a single, definitive answer simply does not exist. Street photography is such a vast world where we can observe a multitude of currents, directions, and expressive possibilities that any attempt at definition is inevitably doomed to fail.

Indeed, we can observe everything and its opposite, making the only possibility for a definition that is intelligent and coherent with this enormous diversity to construct it with fluid and not very well-defined boundaries, which is complicated. This is because definitions are typically rigid, inflexible, and limited.
